Kronospan Luxembourg marked its 30 years
Celebrating a significant milestone, Kronospan Luxembourg marked its 30 years of business in Luxembourg on Saturday, 17 May, with a special emphasis on the anniversary of the first wood-based panel being pressed in the Luxembourg factory in 1995.
Kronospan Luxembourg marked its 30th anniversary with a warm and friendly celebration: a Family Day dedicated to its employees and their families. The event, which took place recently at the Soleuvre site, was an opportunity to celebrate three decades of commitment and innovation.
Since its establishment in Soleuvre in 1994, Kronospan Luxembourg has been a key driver of the region's economic development.
The company has not only created numerous jobs but has also invested in cutting-edge technology to produce innovative wood material solutions for various sectors, including construction and furniture.
Over the years, Kronospan Luxembourg has evolved, adapted, and reinvented itself to remain at the forefront of the wood industry. In 2017, an investment program worth over €1 billion commenced, radically transforming Kronospan Luxembourg into one of the most modern and environmentally friendly sites. This wave of investment can be described as "Building a sustainable future."
The celebration of thirty years in business also marked the completion of a significant investment period, which included a new particleboard press, a third biomass cogeneration plant, three new melamine presses, and a fully automated high-bay warehouse.
The event was specially organized to thank employees for their dedication and outstanding work over the past 30 years. Employees and their families enjoyed a day filled with fun activities, delicious snacks, and moments of sharing, which reinforced the feeling of belonging to the larger Kronospan family.
A factory tour was also organized to allow employees' families to discover the new production lines and learn a little more about the work carried out within the plant. The event also provided an opportunity to reward and thank Kronospan Luxembourg's longest-serving employees, some of whom had been present since 1995, when the site's first MDF panel was produced.
Beyond the celebrations, Kronospan Luxembourg remains focused on the future, reaffirming its commitment to innovation and sustainability. The carbon-negative production sites continue to focus on environmentally friendly production practices and their contribution to a circular economy.
