Modern alpine luxury with a strong material identity

Set against the Alpine landscape of Kitzbühel, the Hotel Grand Tirolia is one of the region’s most exclusive luxury destinations. As part of the resort’s recent expansion, new apartments and penthouse suites were designed to offer guests an elevated level of comfort - combining generous living spaces, refined materials, and functional layouts.

The interior concept merges modern elegance with classic Alpine elements, creating spaces that feel warm, contemporary, and timeless. Within this setting, Kronodesign surfaces play a key role in shaping both the visual language and the practical performance of the interiors.

Kronodesign surfaces for elegant, high-use hotel interiors

In the apartments and penthouse suites - featuring spacious kitchens with islands, living areas, bedrooms with seating zones, and connected rooms, Kronodesign materials were selected for their design versatility, durability, and ease of maintenance, all essential qualities in a premium hospitality environment.

K358 Honey Castello Oak brings warmth and authenticity to the kitchen areas and selected furniture elements. Its refined woodgrain texture complements existing wooden ceilings and panelling, reinforcing the Alpine character while maintaining a modern expression.

K552 White Iceberg Marble, used in smaller kitchen areas and as a Slim Line worktop, introduces a light, elegant stone aesthetic that enhances brightness and visual clarity within the space.

K553 Galaxus, applied as a kitchen splashback and background panel for open shelving, adds depth and contrast with its expressive surface, creating visual interest while remaining highly functional.

Functionality designed for hotel living

Beyond aesthetics, Kronodesign melamine-faced boards and HPL surfaces are ideally suited for the hospitality industry thanks to their practical benefits:

• High resistance to wear, scratches, and stains, supporting long-term use

• Easy to clean and maintain, ideal for hospitality operations

• Antibacterial surfaces for kitchens and work areas

• Design consistency across different areas, enabling a cohesive interior concept

These properties ensure that the interiors maintain their premium appearance over time while meeting the everyday demands of the hotel guests.

A harmonious blend of comfort and contemporary design

The interiors at Hotel Grand Tirolia balance natural materials, soft textiles, earth tones, and shimmering surfaces, creating an atmosphere of warmth and relaxation. Wood remains the dominant element, interpreted through a variety of colors and textures, where Kronodesign boards integrate seamlessly.

By combining visual refinement with functional reliability, our materials support the hotel’s vision of sustainable luxury, offering guests a comfortable, inviting environment that reflects both Alpine heritage and modern design standards.
